Is your tech drawer a mess? Here is a simple idea to organize your clutter drawer.
If you have a drawer at home full of cables and old chargers, this post will help you tackle that mess. There is no need to be ashamed of that. We all have been there. There are so many things to organize at home that we tend to forget about drawers. Everyone can benefit from having a neat tech drawer. We have so many electronic devises these day!
What you will need:
This is an effortless organizational task that you can accomplish in 15 minutes. I suggest that you edit all your cables before organizing them. We tend to have 5 or 6 of the same charger we barely use. It is best to start by decluttering and throwing away any duplicated and damaged items, as well as any cords belonging to devices that you probably do not have anymore. Then, play around with the four different drawer trays to find the perfect combination for your space. Once you've found the right storage bins for your drawer, the next step is to secure all the cables using velcro ties. What I love the most about these ties is that they are reusable and adjust to different circumferences.
Labeling
The last step is to identify the cords and add a label so you know which electronic device they belong to. My two boys have several electric toys, so I printed out a label for each cord. Consequently, everything is now easy to pinpoint. I created the tags using my mini label printer. This handy printer makes it easy to add labels to almost anything and organize quickly. It helps you to create a system. You can customize the labels using the 'Print Master' app provided with the label machine.
And the final product is an organized drawer with a simple and easy system for all of your household members to find and put things away where they belong.
This project makes a big difference in finding all the cords you need. I hope this post gives you the right motivation to organize your cable clutter. Let me know if this method worked for you. You can check my Instagram for more ideas. Happy Organizing!
